The new facility will be built east of the newest school expansion and portables, and north of the parking lot. The following site plan illustrates the new location.
The expansion will consist of a new building that will include a full-size gymnasium, large washroom/change rooms, a foyer, storage room, a canteen room and two large classrooms with break out spaces.
The gym and classroom facility expansion will include the following spaces:
- Gymnasium: 4,330 SQ FT, 70’ wide by 92’ long, ceiling height = 22’
- Classroom 1: 960 SQ FT, 30’ wide x 32’ long with option to partition off 10’ x 30’ area for 1 or more break out spaces.
- Classroom 2: 644 SQ FT, 28’ wide by 23’ long
- Entry vestibule, foyer, canteen room, mechanical room, male & female bathrooms/change rooms, staff bathroom & storage room: 2,726 SQ FT
- Overall building size: 10,762 SQ FT, 70’ wide x 154’ long (less the alcove at front entry)
